Retail Purchaser
CSA Frankfurt is looking for a Retail Purchaser to efficiently manage CSA's purchasing needs. Retail Purchaser reports directly to the Retail Manager.
Key Duties:
- Managing purchasing requirements for all CSA operations including, but not limited to the Quickshop, the Shoppette, the Carl Schurz School, the Wunderbar, CSA Admin Offices, CSA Service Offices and Fitness Center
- Process paperwork from purchases
- Maintain CSA’s inventory recording system to insure all products are accounted for
- Conduct monthly and annual inventory counts
- Availability to work at 6:30am on Wednesdays to support the Consulate's CARE program
- Build and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers
- Assist in maintaining the upkeep of CSA’s retail establishments
- Cross train as a back-up for the Retail Manager
Qualifications:
- Ability to prioritize tasks and make important decisions
- Good oral and written communications skills
- Strong mathematical skills (to analyze inventory and figures)
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to lift 25lbs.
- Must have a current German driver's license or ability to drive in Germany for first 6 months while actively seeking a German license
- Please note that this position requires the candidate to have purchasing privileges at the U.S. Base in Wiesbaden (base access card and yellow base purchasing card)
- Preferred but not required:
- Experience with inventory management
- Stock control management experience
- Previous experience in purchasing
Working Hours:
This position is a part-time position (15-20 hours per week).
