Key duties include:
- Ensuring a safe, supportive, and healthy environment.
- Assisting in the management of child behavior.
- Monitoring play.
- Cleaning play, snack and nap areas at closing time, returning toys and mats to designated areas.
- Communicates all relevant concerns about students to colleagues.
- Informing the school administration of concerns that need to be brought to the attention of parents.
- Monitoring a small group of students at play.
- Assisting in the changing of diapers, feeding, napping, etc.
- Works as part of a team to create and maintain a positive classroom climate, prepare materials, anticipate what is needed, and organize necessary paperwork.
- Promotes the school in a positive manner, including carrying a professional attitude in community activities.
- Demonstrates a consistent and professional attitude toward the accomplishment of school and program goals.
- Keeps nursery sanitized and clean including but not limited to: vacuuming, mopping kitchen and hallway, and sanitizing toys on a regular basis.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Childcare experience preferred.
- Must be fluent in English.
- Ability to work with small children; flexibility.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Supervised by the school director.
