Gym Rules: COVID-19
Rules for using the gym (see the Fitness Center offerings here)
Signs with rules are posted throughout all gym spaces. We will mostly rely on gym users to self-police themselves regarding the new policies. However, CSA staff will periodically walk through the gym and spot check for compliance. Anyone violating the rules will lose gym privileges for a week, second offense will lose gym privileges until the normal re-opening. More than 5 violations may result in the gym being closed for everyone.
Fitness members should report any perceived violations of rules to the CSA general manager ([email protected]), who will evaluate and act on them as appropriate.
- At this time, pre-registration for workout times is not required.
- All gym users must swipe their fob to enter the gym.
- ALL users MUST sanitize their hands when entering the gym.
- All gym users MUST sign in when entering the gym (for contact tracing purposes).
- Please be courteous of other gym users if they are waiting for equipment.
- Gym users are responsible for maintaining 1.5 m SOCIAL DISTANCING at all times (this does not apply to family members living in the same house).
- Use of spotters, workout buddies and personal trainers is allowed provided that at least one of the individuals in the pair is wearing a mask. If both parties are vaccinated and mutually agree, a mask is not required in this scenario.
- Machines MUST be wiped down PRIOR to use and AFTER use.
- Please thoroughly wipe all surfaces. Refer to the posted pictures to ensure you are cleaning properly. Spray bottles with disinfectant and bleach solution are provided in several spots along with plenty of paper towels.
- To save on paper products you may bring your own towel for disinfecting if you would like to.
- Windows should be kept open as much as possible for ventilation.
- Anyone who is sick or has a fever should NOT use the gym.
- Face coverings are not required inside the workout space under current Hessen or Consulate rules; gym users may choose to wear a face cover, or not to wear one, at their personal discretion. Upon exiting the workout space, users must abide by current mask-wearing regulations in all other common areas.
