CSA has long provided, at no charge, a range of television channels through it's infrastructure service. These included AFN's eight-channel satellite service. Following recent changes, the free channel lineup has changed and no longer includes AFN. AFN is discontinuing the satellite service in 2026 and will only be supporting streaming access to their channels. To access the AFN channels, follow the instructions below.
AFN is now streaming their television channels. Please see the information from the management notice below for directions on setting up your access to AFN channels.

Management is pleased to announce that, effective immediately, all U.S. Direct-Hire (USDH) personnel assigned overseas are eligible to access the American Forces Network (AFN) streaming service — AFN Now.
The AFN Now app is available on Android and Android TV, Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and other platforms. For a complete list of supported devices and answers to common questions, please visit the AFN Now FAQ.

To register through the ATLAS Directory My Profile page, please ensure the following:
- Employee Status: You must be a USDH or REA with an active assignment and a position assigned to your profile.
- Access Requirements: Login to ATLAS Directory from your OpenNet workstation. From outside OpenNet, an OKTA account is required to access the ATLAS Directory and your Profile page.
- Verify Your Employee Profile: To gain access to AFN Now, ensure your ATLAS employee profile is accurate, including the position number. Click here to check the accuracy of your employee profile information in the ATLAS Directory and make sure your position number is accurate.
- If your position number is not listed in ATLAS, you can find it in GEMS by navigating to: GEMS > Employee Self Service (tab).
Once located, submit a MyServices (>Technology Support >IT Services) request to update your ATLAS profile and be sure to include your accurate position number in the ticket.
